Project description: Construction of a traditional style wallplate dormer dwellinghouse, specifically designed to utilise passive solar gain, orientation and low carbon green technology to achieve a low carbon A-rating and almost passive standard dwellinghouse. This house utilises green technology such as high U-Value construction, structural insulated panels (SIPS), triple glazing, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, underfloor heating, airtightness tapes, solar panels and air to water heat pumps.
Our involvement in this project included:
- Architectural Design to energy efficient and passive home requirements.
- Carrying out of Airtightness testing (Blower door test) and building energy rating.
- Preparation & submission for planning permission.
- Surveying of site.
- Design and scheduling of raft foundations.
